Americans with Disabilities Act Statement

The APS wishes to take any steps required to ensure that no individual with a disability is excluded, denied services, segregated or otherwise treated differently due to the absence of auxiliary aids and services identified in the Americans with Disabilities Act. If any such services are necessary in order for you to participate in the April Meeting, please communicate your needs in advance to the APS Meetings Department by checking the appropriate box on the registration form or by sending an e-mail to Terri Gaier at [email protected].

Audio-Visual Equipment

All rooms will be equipped with an LCD projector, overhead projector, screen, lavalier microphone, and pointer. If you plan on doing a PowerPoint presentation, please bring your program on your own laptop computer, and be sure to visit the Speaker Ready Room to run through your presentation to ensure that it goes smoothly. (We recommend that you also bring your presentation on vugraphs as a back-up to your computer presentation). When you arrive at the session in which you are speaking, if you are using the LCD projector, please have your loptop turned on and ready to go.

Please use the A-V order form to order any additional equipment. A-V can also be ordered on-site at the meeting directly through the A-V company. Please do not send A-V orders to APS.

Satellite Meetings

If your group or organization wishes to hold a meeting during the April Meeting, please contact Terri Gaier at [email protected]. Deadline for requests for space for satellite meetings is February 28. Don't delay in making your request - space in the hotel is limited.

On-line Personal Meeting Scheduler

Attendees planning to attend the April Meeting can pre-plan their schedules by using the "shopping cart" feature of the electronic web program. This service allows the attendee to view the program, select the sessions and talks desired, deposit this information in a personal meeting schedule, and then print out the schedule. The electronic program will be posted to the web in February and the scheduler feature will also be available for use at that time.
